Benmore provides an idyllic environment for those wanting the highest quality of instruction in a variety of outdoor activities for individuals, families or groups looking for a break or simply a quiet weekend away in the peace and tranquility of the Scottish countryside.
Benmore is a non-profit making organisation, run by the City of Edinburgh Council Children and Families Department, developing, under the guidance of experienced instructors, a safe and exciting range of adventure activities for young and old alike. Safety and confidence are the keys to an enjoyable yet challenging experience and Benmore was the first centre in the UK to receive a licence from the Adventure Activity Licensing Authority (AALA).
Built within the grounds of the spectacular Botanic Gardens - an out-station of the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh - Benmore has been an established outdoor activity centre for over forty years. Whether you’re looking for an all-action adventure holiday with your school, family or friends, or a quiet retreat in the breathtaking splendour of the gardens with an organised weekend of sketching, photography or bird-watching, Benmore provides the perfect base.
The Surrounding Area
