Looking For An Outdoor Adventure?
For over forty years, Benmore Centre has been providing unforgettable outdoor learning adventures primarily to school groups, but also to other organisations and family groups.
As a leading Outdoor Learning Centre in Scotland, we strive to inspire maximum personal growth in thousands of visitors every year. Our experienced and qualified instructors are passionate about developing self-awareness and confidence through challenging individual and team experience in an exciting, enjoyable, yet safe alternative environment.
Benmore Centre is a not-for-profit facility operating under the auspices of the Children and Families Department of City of Edinburgh Council.
All activities are carefully risk-assessed and Benmore was the first centre in the UK to receive a licence from the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA).
In addition to school courses complementing the Curriculum for Excellence, we also welcome other groups and initiatives seeking an activity break, or merely a suitable venue for their own programme.
Located in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, just seven miles north of Dunoon within the grounds of the enchanting Botanic Gardens, Benmore Centre is ideally situated amidst the spectacular scenery of the west coast of Scotland.
- primary and secondary school groups looking to develop self-assurance through healthy and challenging experience,
- higher education groups looking for more specific outdoor educational focus – geography, biology, geology etc,
- other groups or organisations looking for a suitable venue for a base with (or without) activities,
Benmore Centre must be the first choice.
